notes: "Holograph. Richard Davis Webb regrets that Anne Warren Weston was not in Paris when he was there. Webb writes: \"I never enjoyed any visit since my courting days half so much as that to Versailles.\" He refers with enthusiasm to \"these women whom I have held in the highest respect and admiration,\" [i.e. Mrs. Chapman and Caroline Weston.] He comments on Dr. W. H. Harvey's book on marine botany. Of the two boxes for the anti-slavery fair, one contains stationery, the other \"odds and ends from Dublin.\" Anything for the North Star should be sent at once, \"to keep Douglas[s] from suspecting us of robbing him.\" The largest contributor is Maria Waring. Webb sent Fox's Martyrs from his own library.
