Webb pleads that \"if you come to Dublin, my wife and I will have room enough and a highland welcome for you all.\" He wishes, in any case, to meet Maria W. Chapman on her arrival in Liverpool. Webb writes: \"The mail boats between Liverpool and Dublin make the passage in eight hours. They are the quickest sea boats in the world.\" Richard D. Webb sent a Liberty Bell to Miss (Maria) Edgeworth, with whom he had a long interview some weeks ago. Webb says: \"It is delightful to meet with such people. ...You should come and see her while she is yet alive.\""
