"Holograph, signed. Samuel May, Jr., is replying to Maria Weston Chapman's letter and request for a copy of a letter to be published in the National Anti-Slavery Standard. Since G. G. Channing, the editor of the Christian World, did not ask to publish this letter, Samuel May did not offer it to him. Samuel May says he will write something for the Liberty Bell as soon as he can. He has heard from Rev. G. Armstrong of Bristol, England, that a box meant for the anti-slavery fair was being prepared in Bristol."
