Cogan thanks Maria Weston Chapman for her letter and for her kindness in intending to send her a copy of the Liberty Bell. Soon after receiving the note, Cogan was given a copy of the Liberty Bell from the Glasgow society. She remarks on the \"excellent likeness\" of Mrs. Lucretia Mott in the volume. Having met Mrs. Mott in London, Cogan wishes to be remembered to her. In the postscript on page four of this letter, Sarah Cogan requests an autograph of \"the great and good Dr. Channing.\""
