Cabot has not \"that heroic love that you & Eliza [Mrs. Follen] have, of overcoming trial,\" yet believes that the test of her strength would not prove her deficient. Referring to yesterday's debate, Susan C. Cabot explains that she \"quoted W. Channing as opposed to Garrison not in character but in manner.\" Susan C. Cabot believes that if William Lloyd Garrison \"had that refinement---which is so striking in W.C. [William E. Channing] added to his clearness he could have said even more & wider truths than he has, and yet have been heard.\""
