On recto, is a sonnet by Anne Warren Weston, with the first line reading: \"What friendly greeting shall I bring to thee.\" On the verso, is a translation of a poem by Theodor Korner, composed while he lay wounded in a forest. It is signed C.F., perhaps Charles Follen, the translator or transcriber of the poem."
