On verso, is the poem \"The Negro.\" This poem begins: \"Scarred by the scourge of slavery was he...\" Also with the same call number is an unrelated letter to \"My dear Friend,\" from M.C.E. This is a get well letter, wishing that the friend's \"face ache\" improves. A gift is mentioned in the letter."
