Webster's speech. Her uncle's firm, Stuckley & Bagehot, paid the jail fees for Bowers, the black seaman, whose imprisonment is mentioned in John Bishop Estlin's letter to Anne Warren Weston, April 29, 1850, Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.25, p.7."
